Re-Branding your Website
Sometimes a quantum leap is needed to get where we need to be … incremental changes just won’t work.
We recently assisted the Queensland Academy of Fitness to go national offering their personal training courses online to students outside their traditional home state. Obviously with ‘Queensland’ in the business name and logo that would be a tough sell and could work against their expansion plans.
We recommended a designer and worked on the new web presence. Now that the changeover has occurred we are focussing our energy on re-building the organic traffic that was supplementing their advertising and social campaigns. It has been important to find a balance between maintaining the excellent traffic to the old site, with gracefully redirecting them to the new re-branded site. We have used a cut down version of the original site with bare essentials as 90% of the incoming organic traffic was to the homepage … and we then ‘encourage’ rather than force them to the the page.
We opted for manual clicking over auto redirection which we found was hit and miss on mobile devices with popups etc and we wanted them to know about the new name and national focus.
